This weekend I got the very good news that Marina, our BSc student, passed her BSc Viva. Mariana is the first BSc student that I graduate in Mexico so this event has a very special meaning. I wish a lot of success to Mariana in her future studies, I hope we have the great pleasure of getting her back at Cinvestav for her MSc studies.
She worked on the study of the effects of heat treatment on the properties of pyrolytic carbon, in particular the diffusion of fission products. Her work was of such quality that is currently being included in a paper that we expect to submit for publication next month. Her work was part of the UCMEXUS-CONACYT grant that we have in collaboration with the University of California.
Once again, congratulations to Mariana!!
